      <image:title>Our Coach - Hi! I am Maritza</image:title>
<image:caption>Who am I? I am a mother and veteran that started my fitness journey over 20 years ago. I managed to experiment different training methods until I decided to take on kickboxing, where I was able to compete in amateur kickboxing fights. Then I moved into CrossFit, participated in Spartan© races, other events such as the Ragnar Relay Race, and finally competitive Powerlifting. Throughout this journey, I was able to uncover that we all can successfully train in a variety of ways. The key is finding out what works best for our own body, because programs are not and should not be a one size fits all.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Our Team - Why Uplifting vGym?</image:title>
<image:caption>The name Uplifting was born inspired by a specific moment when as a competitive powerlifting athlete, you step on a platform. Even though you are facing a lot of strangers in the crowd, not one of them hesitates to yell “UP!!” in hopes of helping you fight harder for that lift. This same feeling of support, encouragement and inspiration is exactly what you will find at Uplifting vGym. The best success is achieved when we identify a specific goal and surround ourselves with the greatest support system that will always cheer us on. At Uplifting vGym, we have been able to build a family of athletes, of all diverse backgrounds and fitness levels that have successfully learned how to stay motived, inspired and continuously help each other fight for success.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Our Team - Why a Personal Trainer?</image:title>
<image:caption>Tired of seeing people getting discouraged from pursuing their fitness journey for distinct reasons, I was reminded of the many times I did not pursue my career goal because of the thought of not looking “fit” enough. I became inspired to break through these obstacles and in the process, show people that there is a fitness level for everyone. Not only that, but also prove that with the right programming and support system, everything is possible. I am a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified Personal Trainer but also a USA PL certified Powerlifting Coach. In addition to that, a level 1 FMS (Functional Movement System) certified Functional Movement Specialist as well as a NASM Weight Loss Specialization Trainer. I am a firm believer of continuing education in order for me to be the best version of myself as a trainer and coach for my team.</image:caption>
